2011 was a wonderful year for us.
For starters we re-branded from just me (Heather!) to a husband and wife team on January 1st 2011. That was exciting and we have loved every bit of it. We also got married this year in May! After over 7 years together, this was really exciting for us. We bought a house and though we haven’t gotten to move in yet (still have some more work!), we are thrilled. (Promise we will post photos when we are done!) We also got our puppy Jagger this year. He is a big ball of fun (and work a lot of the time) but we love him like a kid. Man, it’s been a BIG year of changes for the Burks!
We got featured so many places this year as well. We were so excited about each and every one of all of these:
Style Me Pretty, Rustic Wedding Chic, One Stylish Bride, Wedding Paper Divas, Comely Day, Travel To I Do, Fresh Squeezed Weddings, & Ever Lovely
Plus, we got to travel all around the country (and the world!) with our clients this year. From every corner of NC, to SC, to Miami, and to the Turks & Caicos Islands. We are so excited about all the amazing places we get to travel next year as well.
Plus to top all of that off we had the BEST brides & grooms we could have asked for this year. We are so thrilled we got to be part of each and every one of their special days. Thanks so much for bringing us into your lives and becoming our friends. We can’t wait to see what next year holds for you as well.

ps – there is a shot in your slideshow of a bride in a car and all you can see is the bottom half of her face and she’s just let out a deep breath. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that shot. There is just so much emotion in that one deep breath. It’s a perfect capture. xo
